Games

Games

A Poem by Karlie Kadabra.

I'd rather be sitting outside in the rain,
Than sitting here in your arms.
I'd rather have a thermometer between my lips,
Than to have you kissing them.
Catching pneumonia sounds better
Than catching your eye.
Now this is the part
Where you try to change my mind,
But let me stop you
When you take your first breath.
I want to remind you to be polite,
To remind you to apologize
For all the times you lied,
All the times you left.
For all the times you said goodbye,
And acting like you thought I wouldn't mind.
I'm tired of playing games.
Can we skip to when we find out who won?
Of course there wasn't really a competition,
Because it was just you and me.
Just forfeit already;
It's such a sad sight to see
That you don't even realize
You just lost the game to me.
