People and Technology

People and Technology

A Poem by Karlie Kadabra.

In some way,
Us humans are like computers.
We're smart,
Whether or not we show it.
We follow commands,
Yet never rewarded.
We freeze up from time to time,
And never catch every mistake
Others or ourselves may make.
Most of all,
People use us
While we're oblivious to it.
Then, when we do not work the way they want,
Or when there is the slightest imperfection,
They throw us away.
They try to move on to something better
When they just had the best.

That went in a completely different direction than I first expected, but I really liked it. It was an unusual comparison that I had not thought of before. Good job.

I like the contemporary language you use here with the computer comparisons. A very timely write-- nice work!

It's an interesting analogy, and you make good points. In a way, the structure and pithiness of each sentence makes them seem somewhat robotic, which is kind of cool since that's the theme of the poem.
