Distanced Friendship.

A poem on the feelings experienced when a person experiences a sudden change in a close friendship, a change of distance..It's like a sudden lull between a constant chatter..

Sometimes i wonder if it always meant being placed face to face,

If all those memories were jus when we were together,

Whether they mean nothing once you moved away,

Whether it had any meaning i ponder,

If it did i question then you wouldn't forget me once you left,

If it did mean any you would be here beside me even been far by many,

I wish our friendship never changed,

Now it feels as a lull has embraced our constant chatter,

I miss those times, I miss those days which i wished came everyday,

But alas i had forgotten that times change and the same tide never comes back again...

The thing about poetry is that, in many cases, it is extremely personal. I don't know the story behind this poem but I can tell that it is personal. I've been at a crossroads in my relationships before. I know how that is. It is good that you were able to use your writing as an outlet for that.
