SwimA Poem by KarinaThis poem is about this dad who is upset of his son because he could not swim.I was walking down the streets when I spotted a boy, I told him what’s his name and he answered “Roy”. His clothes was very wet, And I know it isn’t sweat, I told him what happened and he told me, “I’ll tell you a story,” “You see, I had this fear of water and my dad got mad, My Mom calmed him down and she was very sad. But one day I was thinking and walking by the lake, I wouldn’t get near it and I heard someone shouted “FOR HEAVEN SAKE” I knew it was my dad and he threw me in, I struggle and struggle and he told me to swim, “You got to swim and learn how to float,” he said, But I thought a person only floats when he’s dead. I finally got out and I started to run, I heard my dad laughing as if it was fun. I came here in the streets and never want to go back, It was getting really late and I wanted a snack. I hope you know the situation I’m in The reason I’m wet, well, let’s just say I went for a swim. © 2011 Karina |
