I would wonder to myself how I could ever like someone like you.

Can you blame me? You were so sweet to me, and you always were there for me when I needed to talk.

I lost every sense in my body and would have risked it all for you.

You were dangerous and I couldn’t help but like it.

But at the end I paid the price of wanting to be with you. 

You left and became a father.

You said you would give me anything for me to be happy by your side.

But instead you gave it to her.

I realize now that I’m happy you gave it to her instead of me.

I would have struggled to understand the way you saw life.

You would have left me to be a killer and a drug addict.

Thank you for leaving me that day.

You actually saved me from a life of a terrible relationship.

So even though you broke my heart countless times… you saved me.

So…thank you…
