Country Boy Kisses

Country Boy Kisses

A Poem by Kelli Anderson

Country Boy Kisses

He likes his beer in a cold glass bottle.
He's rarely seen without a baseball hat.
Wearin' T-shirts, faded jeans and his old cowboy boots.
You rarely see him in a three piece suit.
He doesn't bother me when I'm upset.
He knows when and how close he can get.
He's always trying to buy me things,
and usually things I don't really need.
It's sweet how he wants to take care of me.
He loves to sing me love songs.
He says that life is one love song after another.
He treats me like the star that I am,
He treats me as if I was the world, his world.
I get country boy kisses from my
beer drinkin' man.
Country boy kisses, I want more.
Country boy kisses, I adore.
Country boy kisses, he treats me right
with those country boy kisses every night.
He says he loves me more than his truck.
Says that he needs me, I'm his good luck.
He knows just what I like best.
Which are country boy kisses, I can't resist.
I like to help myself whenever I please.
To his lips, they're just so sweet.
His tasty kisses are what I long for.
They're like the taste of sweet honey.
Country boy kisses, I want more.
Country boy kisses, I adore.
Country boy kisses, he treats me right,
with those country boy kisses every night.
