Blessed

I wake up,
I am blessed
for being alive.

I am blessed
for seeing another day.

I am blessed
with wonder and beauty.

As bright sun shines,
birds fly as happy as can be
as they eat from the bird feed.

Feeling wind blow through trees,
grass is so green and pretty.
Seeing the sky so blue,
I marvel at morning dew.

I am blessed
in all that's new to me.

I am blessed
Knowing I'm healthy.
Feeling my heart beat,
feels so wonderful to me.

At times when my heart may ache,
I'm thankful for each new day.

I am grateful
for my children, family and friends.

I thank the Lord
for their lives to
share another day
given to them and I.

I think the little things of everyday life are my reasons to get the heck out of bed on some days. Life is so complicated sometimes and we get so caught up in everything else...but when we actually stop and look at the small beauty's that the Lord has given...it really makes the bad not look so bad!
