"goodbye" feels like the word...to much changing of the mind, uncertainty as to the relationship...but then "commitment" could be the word if we allow ourselves to settle down...
feeling cramped, penned in.--that would be the goodbye...
filling up the empty room...that would be...commitment.
the thought of us, just silhouettes from where we've been.
this is a good example of "less is more"
of leaving so much between the lines that the reader gets to sift through different meanings.
i like poetry that is understated like this.

I own this silhouette...it confines me like a brick wall obstruction in my soul. Love this....I felt it, that's what I love most about poetry. Nicely pen'd.

Since you didn't explain completely what the poem is about, it leaves the mind to wander and ask questions, which I like in poems. It means everyone who reads it will get a different feeling. Short and sweet, yet you somehow got some emotion in there, good job, I like it ^_^
