A Misplaced LoveA Poem by kanyinsola okaforTrue and CommonI wouldn't have left had you urged me to stay, I wouldn't have walked away had you assured me of your love. All I ever wanted was to be close to you, I was willing to give my all up for you... Even my life I would have layed down if only you had asked, But no you didn't, I wanted you But no you didn't, I loved you But no you cared less, I made you my world But no you sent me crashing down to hell Without a care in the world. I feel the hurt deep down inside of me, Like a piercing through my heart, It slices down to the very bosom of my soul, .....Oh how it hurts My feelings I gave you, My love I gave you, My joy I gave you, My time I made yours The only thing I asked of you was a little of your love, Only a fraction of your heart, A tiny piece of you to own in exchange for all of me, But no you didn't, It was too much for you to give. I was willing to love you in return till my last breath Because my love for you held the promise of eternity, My love for you became my Obsession, my Passion. . . my Purgatory My Hell on Earth. What a Waste of Love. A Misplaced Love. © 2015 kanyinsola okaforReviews
