A will to succeed

The poem was created by my friend, rishav sharma.

A heavenly word that can be contemplated as bonanza or boon for intact human race. A ten letter word that usher those idiosyncrasy which never paves way for doldrums. Bee in ones bonnet can even result in opulence. Hazard a guess its positivity. I define positivity as an intangible process which leads to dissemination of beliefs and persuade one to become amiable and Trojan.
I have drunk to your health in taverns,
I have drunk to your health in my home,
I have drunk to your health so damn many times,
That I have almost ruined my own.
Luck
He worked by day and toiled by night,
He gave up play some delight.
Dry books he read
New things to learn
And forged ahead
Success to earn.
He plodded on with faith and pluck,
And when he won,
Men called it luck.
Portrait of dream
Life is a ceaseless stream of dreams.
From birth to death,
Mind worked in dissemination
Of sweet portrait of dreams.
Being intangible…………….
For one who is affectionate to it,
Created a blurred portrait of obstacles,
So does he streamline the odyssey his dreams paved way for.
Nights were no more and days were invincible
And at last
The actuality was the wall containing portrait of dreams.
It usually gives us thrill
And we are left still
Some take pill to make a will
And some endure to get wisdom for
Don’t Quit
When things go wrong
As they sometime will,
When the road you are trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit,
Life is queer with twist and turns,
As everyone of us sometime learns,
And many a failure turns about
When we might have won
Had it stuck it out.
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint of clouds of doubt
And you can never tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far
So stick to the fight when you are hardest hit
It’s when things seem worst you must not quit.
