Midnight Princess

Midnight Princess

A Poem by Kanupriya kashyap

In the midnight on the street
Where only the moonlight
Pierce the gloominess of the night
Draped in a piece of hesitation
Her face glows in twilight
Keeping her dignity aside
There she waits every night
To be with someone new
To let her body go
With some strangers
Whom she doesn't even know
She looks up at the sky
Her soul falls apart in pain
She wants to escape
Like a free bird
In the open air
But nothing can she do
This life she has to choose
As a vigorous midnight princess
Who shines only in darkness

lovely sad poem...
so many people wanting to escape and having no strength to do it or, some times having no courage to try...
