These Things I Want To Say

This is something i wrote to tell the story of something that happened between me and someone i cared about alot. I can't tell him in person how i feel because he wont listen. Maybe somehow he'll find this and know.

You could have had me and you knew it.
But you stopped and didn't sway.
I could still feel the rawness of your lips,
As you began to draw away.
I wanted to reach out a shaking hand,
And pull you back down onto the bed.
But fear stopped me from trying,
And so you pulled your shirt back over your head.

 

You never stopped to think,
And I didn't tell you not to go.
Such foolish things we do.
So not to let each other know.

 

We took the steps we shouldn't have taken.
And fell on ground too weak to stand.
Left shaken and confused,
We now deny each other the truth we demand.
And to this day i lay waiting.
For that strength just to talk to you.
I guess these things i want to say,
Will have to wait another day.

 

You remember everything as i do.
No memory has laid to rest.
But no unkept promise or dirty lie,
Has ever got us into this mess.
It's just a case of youth and stupidity.
That has brought me to such distress.
But knowing that i can't tell you,
Doesn't make me love you any less.
