I like your author’s note the best. I feel that taking up someone’s time should not be taken lightly. I feel it’s our duty to offer writing that’s interesting, entertaining, enlightening – SOMETHING! But many writers feel the purpose is to relieve oneself of some burden, pouring out angst or ranting about wrongdoings or pining over heartbreak. etc. That’s my spiel for today, but I’m worked up over reading so much gibberish for too long today!
Your poem is an original accounting of many ways we might approach writing or what it requires or how it goes down. This is an artful & playful list of ideas, but I’m not sure any of these lines touch that deeper chord which a writer is often trying to reach. These are all useful ideas of how writing can unfold, but where is that sense of purpose? What does each writer hope to accomplish thru this medium? These are the more meaningful details I find myself pondering, more than the superficial trappings of how writing manifests in a physical sense. I don’t mean that to sound as derogatory as it came out. I’m just comparing possible approaches (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
