A Poem by Kami
"

the life of a woman

"
Under Fire, Underwired
Shaken, Stirred and Called a Liar

Megabytes and Lack of Rights
What is Freedom in Fishnet Tights

Kept on Hold, Over Polled
Lacking Words, but the Story is Told

Written and Read, Overfed
When will Egos finally Shed

Faces Look, Faith is Shook
Easily Taking the Bait and Hook

Doing More, Getting Less
Taking Now to Later Confess

Tagged and Passed, Put on Blast
How Much Longer can We Last

Following, Falling, Failing

as an English teacher, this media age makes things quite difficult when teaching writing. All of the broken English with texting etc.
And i do ask the same question, how long can this and we last?

love the title...and the expression here....

and on another avenue, i see this as poignant when talking about rights...big Brother where are you? and why are you?
