not worth it

not worth it

A Poem by kamikazebuterfli

I guess that I'm not worth it

so don't waste any more time,

I can see the truth of it

and I'm tired of your lies.

I guess that I'm not worth it

and I know that will never change.

The pain is hard to swallow

and it's messing with my brain.

I guess that I'm not worth it;

the blood freezes in my veins,

I can hear your laughter and, to you,

it's nothing but a game.

Putting into words and being able to accept a relationship which has fallen apart at the seams - catastrophic but courageous!

I thought this flowed well, and the rhyme scheme is good.....it paints a portrait of a less that desirable character that the speaker is referring to:

"I can hear your laughter and, to you,
it's nothing but a game."

Good write!

first of all, great username!

"and i know that will never change" - typo error on word change.

maybe a word missing in the line, "and i will nver the same"

the only problem i found with this was the rhyming, as it felt a little too obvious and less fluid, apart from the first stanza which benefits quite well from a half rhyme.
