Hope in the DarknessA Poem by David KaminskyIt's dark. All around are the shadows from one dimly lit lamp, A silence lays across the hazed room. A fading of light fills your desire to run to run from every dark corner a deep dark depth of loneliness. You twirl in confusion in hope of acceptance, in hope of happiness, wanting nothing more than to be immersed in light, Up Down Left Right nothing more than a smile, nothing more than a hand to hold, nothing more than love. The dim light is still glowing. Your desire leads you to nothing, nothing but an idea, a realization, to cherish, light.
