Hope in the Darkness

Hope in the Darkness

A Poem by David Kaminsky

It's dark.
All around are the shadows from one dimly lit lamp,
A silence lays across the hazed room.

A fading of light
fills your desire to run
to run from every dark corner
a deep dark depth of loneliness.

You twirl in confusion
in hope of acceptance,
in hope of happiness,
wanting nothing more
than to be immersed in light,
Up
Down
Left
Right
nothing more than a smile,
nothing more than a hand to hold,
nothing more than love.

The dim light is still glowing.
Your desire leads you to nothing,
nothing but an idea,
a realization,
to cherish,
light.

David .. Thank you.. for sharing your sometime darkness. Your words give that dark place ..beauty.. For me, those times, I now embrace.. not because it feels good., but the insight it brings to my life. The words you give to the pain... are beautiful and healing ..

Hmmmmm
A different format would have suited this poem better. It is well- written, but does not look appealing centered, plus this layout is a bit of a mindfuck.

About
I often find that there is a certain beauty in pain. However much it heart, breaks, and screams... it signifies something bigger, something so powerful that it stops everything in your life and consum.. more..
