Grief

Grief

A Poem by David Kaminsky
"

Can I still sail without you?

"

Light blue was the water,

Reflecting from the sun,

Clarity and particulates,

Splashing onto shore one by one,

A maritime adventure,

A song of the sea,

The turning of globe,

A place for you and me.

Once a lifetime the sun dims,

Shading the ocean blue,

The purity dissipates,

Uncertain is this view,

The waves are deep and rocky,

As are my feelings for you.

Once I sailed the sea,

With your wishes anew,

The strength of your oars and mast,

A crew we could call two.

Until this certain day,

Where we dwindled down to one,

Your directions deep with in me,

Your smile in the sun.

Here I stare forward,

On this rocky plane,

An uncertainty within me,

A flame never in vain.

So I sail off without you,

Never to hit your shore,

The sand and salt beneath me,

With love--forever more.

About
I often find that there is a certain beauty in pain. However much it heart, breaks, and screams... it signifies something bigger, something so powerful that it stops everything in your life and consum.. more..
