"A Song the World Should Sing"

"A Song the World Should Sing"

A Poem by Kameron Armitage

Black and White images appear before me,
and they come with instruments of music,
for the sad and the lonely to play and be free.
So I kept my chin up looking how high I can see.

I wielded myself with this beautiful tool,
and played the music away.
Told them all I liked this song,
so we played it every day.

The songs flow through my chest as I breath it in,
Releases the tension as the racing of my heart begins.

Each little note trickles down my spine,
No piano, I don't play with white lines.

Continuing this perfect song,
orchestra blaring in the back.
I know depression is lurking about,
but this song is what they lack.

Three notes of this,
Feel like the Rolling Stones,
I'll throw a skeleton down the hill while I play,
just be rollin bones.
