"This Is His Life"A Poem by Kameron Armitage.
Tethered clothing,
Battered soul, This is the life he lives. Walk on the cracks of the sidewalk, Taking pleasure in imperfection; all he has been taught. His tears exit dry, Empty capsules, Dead. Despising the oxygen entering his lungs, It keeps him living; Or hardly living. She helped him live; Living in the Sacred Garden, He was forbidden. Crossing the beautiful array of flowers, They took his life, hopes, dreams; He collapsed in a hopeless heap of faith. She stood by and watched, Let him fall; and Smirked. The worst part is the love he felt, So real and true, All for her. Under the torn jacket lies a broken heart, A shattered soul with blinded eyes, His memory dies here. This was his life. © 2010 Kameron Armitage |
