"New Beings"A Poem by Kameron ArmitageAnother poem written to imitate Jim Morrison's style of poetry and writing. RIPThe wrinkled note stares bullets into another human's soul, drawing blood through thin sheets, dripping to the very ground holding our feet firmly. Inevitable questions lurk in the dead of night, to find the ghost-like attributes in all of us; They attempt to win and to conquer. But, however, they do not. For the shields in which most bare can, withhold the deadly sins of others before rusting. When rusting takes place, dare we simply place one more shield in hand, ready to defend our broken souls to those around? Must we fight to the end when the sun finally sets, leaving a blank plague of confusion? How do we find ourselves when, the teachers only teach that being lost is a delicacy? We do not. Our old self dies, leaving the remains of flaws we never corrected. The angels tears touch the ends of the earth, to revive the dead souls each year. When those souls arrive, they may once again be free to, love, cherish, and die once again. © 2010 Kameron ArmitageAuthor's Note
