"The American Way"

This is sarcastic, please don't take it literally.

Ah the American way.
Who wouldn't love it?

Being perfectly self-absorbent,
only striving wealth,
killing for pleasure.
Beautiful.

Beginning wars unneeded.
firing through alleyways,
blasting innocent homes.
Does it get much better?

Torturing animals without purpose,
mistreating women when we please,
abusing children as a resort.
No problem here.

Spending money we do not have,
subtracting funds from schooling,
taking hard earned money.
Making it easy to live without working.

Pay for professional sports before education,
fix all countries aside from your own,
go to war with the wrong country.
Who's priorities aren't right?

This country is perfect the way it is.
Nobody needs change.
