"Living a World of Flowers"

"Living a World of Flowers"

A Poem by Kameron Armitage
"

.

"

This gorgeous field of flowers,

picked up in waves of blowing wind,

then gently left alone for the time being.

Gazing into the distance,

the haven slowly becomes visible.

Why had it not been seen before?

Its glorious display of colors draws me in.

I believe it has always been tangible,

yet never for me.

Others seem to pick those morsels,

one by one,

allowing new life to spring each year.

I stumble over the gravel,

coming upon a patch of beautiful arrays.

A mixture of fuchsia and lavender,

blur my mind with ecstasy.

Any.

Pick any flower among them.

Counting down,

one by one,

I find the two it is down to.

Both so unbelievable beautiful,

both spark the fluid in my eyes,

igniting the warming fire of my heart.

I reach out ever so gently,

take one last second to blink,

to take in this moment,

and pick...
