"Salmon Sacrifice"A Poem by Kameron Armitagejust a storyish thing. hahaThe warm rivers race,
sliding over each riveting scale, enhancing the miraculous colors; Beauty at its best. The current becomes an obstacle; an overwhelming force as they head upstream. They are needed for survival, so their journey begins. They struggle up the crystal river, fighting to continue onward. Their tails lick the top of the water, until they are sucked back under. Dodging boulders and trees, along with competing foe. Only the determined will succeed, in this race against nature. Reaching the calm destination; the Heaven in its glory. Slowly new life is beginning, as their own slowly drifts away. They have made the sacrifice. © 2010 Kameron ArmitageAuthor's Note
