"Drowning"

"Drowning"

A Poem by Kameron Armitage

Wading into the water,

I feel my body cooling,

my hot skin is steaming,

and my sins are diluting.

Each breath I take,

brings me sharp pain,

I am half way there.

Am I going insane?

My body has gone numb,

struck by complete amazement,

of my body's capabilities,

to push through; to make it.

The other side is in sight,

my destination is closing in,

cant wait to feel the land,

so soft against my skin.

Just as my hope,

reaches an all time high,

my arms go limp,

and my dreams completely die.

I was ever so close,

to the safe accepting shore,

now left with no choice,

I can swim nevermore.

My lungs collapse,

filled with hate and shame,

I guess not everyone wins,

this sick, twisted game.

You really are a beautiful writer. Every single thing you write makes me fall in love with you even more. I know you don't believe it but your one of the best writers I've ever met. Eh, can't say much for the drawings though. I love you.
