"I Never Wanted This"

I just want things better.

Reaching a new level of depression,
helplessness overwhelms my soul as I sink into the dark abyss.

My heart is weighted.

I thought I had given all of my happiness,
my love,
my life,
all to you.

I guess I was wrong.

Where did it go?
Taken by the dark angels flying above,
creating a whirlwind of hate and greed.

This newly founded competition,
is beginning to shred love's wings to thin, pathetic strips.

I just want them mended.

Tears stream the crevices of my sorrowful face,
bleeding the pain,
the thought,
of losing my only passion.

Every drop that hits the floor screams failure
into my sensitive ears;
begging for mercy.

The bullets continue to stream from my eyes.

Falling one by one to the ground where I belong,
to freeze and slowly fall asleep;
never to hurt you again.
