"Invisible Fate"

"Invisible Fate"

A Poem by Kameron Armitage

The righteous man,

persisted and tried.

Only to find that his life

was a dark circle of whispers.

He had the work of god,

but was taken for granted,

and smashed into the

absorbing dirt.

Silenced for an eternity.

Never to see the

life-bringing light again.

Only the soul stealing

fire.

Burned into his eyes.

This man is addicted to

love,

killing for his next fix.

This drug he consumes

is declared dishonorable;

sinful.

Yet he cannot seem to

seize the use;

the longing.

He chases them,

without safety in mind,

running into a dark,

unexplored,

unduscovered cave.

He sees the cave nearing its end,

Yet he runs full speed.

Wall.

Impact.

Life flashing before his eyes,

in sharp bolts of lightning.

Locked forever,

without the key.
