"Option Without Choice"

"Option Without Choice"

A Poem by Kameron Armitage

Something about that woman draws us in.
Unwillingly,
we follow her direction.
She is holding us by strings, making us
dance,
like the puppets we are.

Our legs flaill and
control
is
lost.
Arms and mind dead
as we
stare.
Where she wants us to.
At our lives.
Was this where we wanted to go?
Did we choose this?
Or was it inevitable that this
flawless woman
has us at the first glance of her
beautiful, miraculous face?
It was predetermined.

The option without choice.
