"The Suspence"

"The Suspence"

A Poem by Kameron Armitage

A dry twig in the damp forest snaps in the distance,

sending chills the frightened boys spine;

he's coming.

His breathing grows more frantic as he awaits;

unmoving.

His frail little heart begins to beat at his ribs;

he is in absolute shock.

His hands grasp the outstanding tree before him;

he continues to tremble.

His final moments are approaching;

he has been found....
