"Man With the Hat"

"Man With the Hat"

A Poem by Kameron Armitage
"

Not too sure.

"

Sleepless dreams fall over my eyes,

Like egg shells falling to the hard tile,

Exploding into a fantastic show of horror.

I walk an empty trail to no place known,

S new land that has yet to be seen,

Running wild like a newly freed stallion.

A lone tree stands triumphantly,

Swaying its brilliant leaves in the light breeze,

Welcoming its new guests in the forbidden land.

A man in the distences rests,

Places his hat atop his face,

Eyelids fall and he begins his much needed rest.

Children's laughter in the distence places a vagure smile on my face,

and at last the peace enters my bodyt and I am with the ones I love for an eternity,

My dreams have come true.
