"Let's Breathe Passion"

"Let's Breathe Passion"

A Poem by Kameron Armitage
"

Just tired of the people that claim they are song artists, yet write and sing about killing and being in clubs. I want back the times of the blues, where people sang about things that mattered and that they were passionate about. Passion may be one of the

"

Where did the passion go,

in the world we once knew?

We held out heads high as we sang our songs,

of the lives we lead and want to lead,

Now they are of killing and dying,

without the soft edge that sends those chills trickling;

all over my body.

I miss that tune,

that one beat in a beautiful melody,

that comforts my soul,

eases me tensions,

loosens my problems until they become nothing more,

than an untied knot.

These gods used to open their mouths,

and allow the words to come pooring out,

carrying their emptions and battles in a blood filled river.

Where did the passion go in the gift and the world of love?

Society moves as a unit,

from one person to the next,

Shyly whispering, "I love you",

at the end of each pathetic phonecall.

Where did the time go,

the time that allowed us to find the one person,

that made us feel like us,

kept the corrupt world away and brought the passion without greed.

Husbands and wives leaving for another one night stand,

they mean nothing.

Take a step back from all of the chaos and temptation,

take the soft hand of a woman and look her in the eyes,

pause, for only a moment,

and tell her that you love her.

Cradle her face as you place your lips on her's,

letting her know that her fears, sadness,

and anger no longer exist with you.

That you will do anything in the world,

to be sure that she is happy with you.

We must bring back our passion,

the long lost passion

and let it be known,

that this world can still

sing,

can still

fight,

can still

Love.
