"Here It Is"

"Here It Is"

A Poem by Kameron Armitage

These things I see deranged, twisted,

yet non-existent.

My mind has begun a circle,

Advocating these troublesome antics,

to cause deceit.

The demon walking, trudging, with the purpose;

harm;

pain.

With the blink of a weak eye,

gone.

Then back again

as menacing as ever,

stalking my mind,

my greatest fear.

Then pleasure...

The colors that swirl and coincide,

send sensations indescribable to each end of my

body.

The pleasure engulfs me,

sends me to tranquility,

peace.

Then destruction...

These shadows twist, turn, distortion takes control.

Vision blurred, mind stabbed, thoughts not clear.

The demon is closer than ever,

breath stinging my nostrils,

frying my mind,

eating my soul.

Then peace once more...

The lights intrigue, enlighten, and absorb.

Take the pain I once wielded,

and swallow it whole.

Covering it with the metal blanket.

Never to be seen again.
