"Sick World, Let Us Learn"

"Sick World, Let Us Learn"

A Poem by Kameron Armitage

What kind of sick world has this become when kids are restrained from

being kids,

and instead expected to flourish in adulthood.

We are the future,

but first we must live;

learn.

Let us live our lives and make our mistakes.

Do not restrain or restrict so that we make none;

this feat is not possible.

We will make our mistakes whether you allow it or not.

However the understanding is what you control.

Be sypathetic when we need sympathy,

love us when we need love,

help us when we need help,

release us when we must live.

This new type of parenting that holds us back from the new world has,

become a new, world-wide epidemic.

It has infected the homes of millions and is pushing children away from their parents.

Embrace your child's curiosity and allow them to live and learn.

For without this, they will have nothing but your life that you never got to live.

The parties hold lessons to be learned so let us go to school.
