"Pigeons"

"Pigeons"

A Poem by Kameron Armitage

All Lined Up

Single formation as insticts tell us to.

As pigeons do fly, but not together.

When the weather allows

Our wings are    S   P   R   E   A   D

like giant umbrellas

covering us from the pelting rain.

We put them in motion and soar

through thee sky we call home.

On hot summer days

we sit and we wait.

Clouds hover and block the big burning barrier.

It's time.

Our flight we begin at last.

We fly and peer down

at microscopic people below

Invincable.

Approaching that destination

that we have longed for so long.

Caught

in the

Moment.

We swoop down for our final descent.

All guards are down.

Only to crash into the invisable window.

This once clean, clear window is now painted with my

Blood

            Dreams

                             And what could have existed.

We are pigeons

And this is our

         Life

Wow, again. Really, you're a great writer. This one made me laugh a little at the closed window part... reminded me of those Windex commercials haha. But this poem is great, I may suggest running it through spell check, since some words looked a little off to me (but I'm an awful speller, so what do I know :P ). Other than that, this is another great message and I really enjoyed reading this one.
