LostA Poem by Kameron ArmitageSo many times I said I was done. So many times After my pain had begun.
This girl that I love Was on an island I could not reach, nor touch, nor hear her.
But I continued to yell With faith in mind. That faith begins to dwindle Until it finally blends with the air.
I always said I didn't want to feel what I'm feeling. I always said it was terrible fate I was sealing. It caused me the pain that I did not want. I was tired of love's games, and menacing taunt.
That love is now gone. Something I thought I would welcome. But that love was a nail and my heart was its board. It left a hole where it was once stuck.
I prefer that hole filled, without I am nothing. A mere boy, lost. © 2009 Kameron ArmitageReviews
