A Reason to BelieveA Poem by KamranThank you for being my wish come true. You gave me a reason to believe.A Reason to Believe Cup your hands up to your face; Let
out your deepest fears, your hidden traits. Speak
them, think them, or spew them away, Let
them run to a different place. Now
try to make a wish, for anything you desire, May
it be for love, happiness, or even satire; Hold
it close, feel it come to life, Then
release it, into a world of hype. Wishes
are just children, youthful and naïve, Unbeknownst
of what they truly perceive; They
cannot be chained, or held enclosed, Only
let out; only set free. A
wish grows as it flutters with butterflies, It
becomes stronger when soaring with birds; It
matures as it glides along the clouds so serene, All
while the wisher still believes. But
it becomes older over time, with more wisdom, With
more power, and more emotion. A
wish soon finds another just like it, Longing
for love, happiness, or satire. The
creator, who never stopped believing, Thinks
not of the wish when opportunity is seized; Falling
in love with a beautiful woman, Or
a person becoming a friend he needs. This
is how wishes work, With
no prize or reprieve; Only
in need of a wisher, Who
always believed. Make
a wish, and always believe; Someday
that wish may be exactly what you need. © 2011 KamranAuthor's Note
