I’ve always
searched for one sound, and only one.
One sound to
steal my breath;
One sound to
take my hand,
And lead me down
a path.
You see, sounds
create a path,
One full of joy
and laughter;
Ones adorned
with pain and suffering.
Fire and Ice,
perhaps, with Earth dashing through the center.
In order to find
one sound, however,
You must not use
your ears.
No, ears hear
noise.
That one sound
is found within the heart’s fears.
Fear screams,
the body trembling,
The mind at a
slow quiver.
It is then that
you see what sound really is,
A noise, without
the shiver.
Sounds echo and
resonate,
Embracing the
listener.
Providing them
the feeling,
That shall
always linger.
It provides
courage and strength,
A powerful
syndrome,
A light in the dark
That will always
lead home.
I think I’ve
felt my sound,
Roaming about;
Almost
obstructed in a pool full of noise.
I knew that
sound was meant for me ,
Although, it
left without greeting.
I searched and
searched for that feeling so unique,
And it always
seems to be ahead of me.
I guess that’s
why we’re so unique;
We all have one
sound to set us free.
