The Morning BirdsA Poem by KamranI woke up to the sound of birds, with one that sounded very different. I thought seeing this was pure beauty. The
Morning Birds There were always the birds outside my window, Chirping away; Singing their fancy tunes, In a melodious array. But one bird chose, To sing like no other; Snap his voice like a drum, Pat-pat-patter. Why is it that he sang so strange? His voice echoed in the weirdest way. It was not a whistle, not a cry, It was a rhythm to the morning day. I did not understand until I saw, He had moved over to the one that caws; Colorful feathers and an accented breast, Yes, she was a female alright. His beat came from the heart, As if the organ could speak; Clicking and plucking, Through that powerful beak. When mixed with her caw, They created a symphony; Resonating through the air, In a rhythmical harmony. The other birds did not take notice, As a sight like this is purely natural; One meets the other, they dance and prance, One and another fall in love at first glance. © 2011 KamranAuthor's Note
