2A Poem by kalra
A snake I saw
It hung from a tree. At dawn, i cut him down. We played like child and rope in grass until I'd got him lost. It sighs, and with forked tongue, feels the world in an ancient way. Now I'm near the fire pit. Large logs half charred. My eyes are wet marbles. The ground shakes and sure enough, here comes that snake. Big as a train. © 2011 kalra |
