I Believe..

I Believe..

A Poem by Kalpit
"

I Believe my beliefs..

"

I believe that it's true,

I've never really got it though,

I believe that god is real,

I've never talked to him though,

I believe that something, called as 'air' exists,

I've never seen it though,

I believe in love,

but I haven't been into.

I believe that on earth's crust,

something exists, called trust,

and if you give, you get it too,

I've been searching for so long, but haven't seen it though.

I'm in a doubt that miracles exists,

never even heard of it too,

the thought of their existence seems so unreal,

but I still believe, they do.

I had the belief that everything happens for something good,

you just need to trust your fate,

and one more thought that wasn't true,

that there's nothing known as hate.

I also believed that if you do good,

you'll earn the throne,

but if you do bad,

you'll be offended by the throng.

I believed that words signify the truth,

and people say what they mean,

but now the only question lingers in my mind is:

how could they be so mean?

But I still believe my beliefs,

even if they are mostly untrue,

because I believe,

someday they'll come true.. :)

I agree with Poeticipiers. The theme and the inspirational message are good and I'm pleased it ended on a hopeful note. But a little more study of meter and rhyme could take this from good to great. :)

I like your theme and content but I would advise you study meter the prime ingredient of good poetry. Miller Williams patterns of poetry is an excelent source book
Which you can often by cheaply as a used copy from amazon
