Only Inhuman, Not Inhumane

Only Inhuman, Not Inhumane

A Poem by Clara Kevie
"

A beautiful dark little poem written from the perspective of a monster in pain.

"
I am only inhuman
I am not inhumane
Darkness comes in
When you cause me pain

My extremities twitch
My tentacles wallow
I'm not a witch
I lay down low

My tail you've seen
But not the tale that counts
Eyes are always keen
So I don't wander about

I trudge, begrudgingly
Scared of my own movement
Why am I not free?
What have I to repent?

I am not inhumane
I am only inhuman
As you cause me pain
More darkness comes in
