Hold on Tight to Your Breath

Hold on Tight to Your Breath

A Poem by Clara Kevie

Sit and wait your turn.
Hold    on      tight       to          your            breath.
Remember what you've learned.
Squeeze your eyes shut tight.
Don't let the light burn.

It's morning again.
You've done it again.
Another sleepless night;
One less sleepless fight.

Red eyes are invaded,
Palms open to receive,
Ready for those grey faded
Colors to retrieve themselves.
Warmth through shades is gated.
