Inside and OutA Poem by Clara Kevie
Inside and out
It would be nice if they were both the same If my insides that tumble and shout And my outsides that smile and tame, Could get along, harmonize, resonate Take a break from hiding all this hate Inside of me Unaware, I manipulate the scene Change something plain to what I can't see Manipulate, stretch out, and then lean On truth to push it down; create the end, The pretty picture itself will mend. Outside of me Refuses to take new information If it makes its way in, it won't guide Under my skin, there's obligation Why not open up emotions to vents Instead of what you think would make sense Inside and out
It would be nice if they were both the same If my insides that tumble and shout And my outsides that smile and tame, Could get along, harmonize, resonate Take a break from hiding all this hate © 2015 Clara KevieAuthor's Note
