Seeing You Again

Seeing You Again

A Poem by Clara Kevie

Seeing you again
I feel as dead as I used to be
back when I fell for you
seeing you again
I trip and fall back to the old me
I can't stand myself, too.

When I went away
I thought the distance would be an aid
to get over myself.
Who would never play
because a reward will someday fade;
why not strive for soul wealth?

I was doing well
right up until I saw you again
then I fell to my knees
wanting you to tell
me that you want me and where you've been
is a mystery. Please.

Seeing you again
I feel as dead as I used to be
back when I fell for you
seeing you again
I trip and fall back to the old me
I can't stand myself, too.
