The Truth

Just because the sky is blue, doesn't mean it's sunny;

Just because the sky is dark, doesn't mean its night;

Just because I laugh and smile, doesn't mean it's funny;

It looks as if I'm holding on, but I'm falling apart in side.

 

Just because the air is cold, doesn't mean its winter;

Just because the grass is wet. doesn't mean its raining;

Just because a tear falls, doesn't mean it matters;

Just because you say you are, doesn't mean you're listening;

 

Just because this room is full, doesn't mean I'm not alone;

Just because you talk to me, doesn't mean I have anything to say;

It appears as if I'm alright, but the truth is completely unknown;

Even though I'm walking towards you, doesn't mean I'm not walking away;

 

Truth is, it's nothing, my mind is completely empty

Truth is, it's complicated, its a complete maze

Truth is it's something, and it's completely destroying me,

The Truth is it's everything, and its hiding behind a haze...
