Fade Away

It's the desire that doesn't fade away,
It's knowing you have to be sober all day,
It's having to fight a constant battle,
Of things that do and don't matter.

It's wanting to drink
Til You can hardly think
It's wanting to not be sober
Even if the bars get lower

It's wanting to fade awaber
It's wanting to empty the bombay
Its ignoring the rules
Even when it makes you a fool

Its not caring what they say
Its not being sober one more day
Its not just fighting the battle
It's winning with no more hassle

It's tipping it back til you see the end
It's emptying the bottles of vodka, rum, and gin
It's escaping the mind
It's breaking the promise of staying sober one more time.
