Well…we were

We were like breeze in the summer

Like the snow in the winter

We were like peas in a pod

Though closer then we thought

But distractions came to your brain

Distractions you could not restrain

You strayed away when you left here

Now me, your friend, you don’t want to hear

What happen to who we were?

What was different from before?

You’re gone no telling what you’ll do

All I want, is you to come back to

Memories that we shared

Memories that you cared

 

But now, it’s me, there’s you

But there isn’t us to make two

I just wish you would come back

Back to the memories we had

Wonderful and meaningful lines above! I really enjoyed this particular read, since it creates such a metaphorical and yet so literal meaning for the reader. All the symbolism (winter, peas, breeze), added to this piece a lot. Your writings are good, and I'll be sure to check them out
