A Dying Scream

A Dying Scream

A Poem by Kajal Gulabani

O’ Woman! Thou art a divine essence,
A symphony of love and life,
Nurturer! Thou art an avenger of strife,
O’ Woman! Shudder off thine apprehensions.
Gaze beyond; for an eye that reckons,
Shame bleeds over hostile knife,
Howls each daughter, every wife,
End the savagery our society fastens.
Borne from a woman though,
Reverence tends to fall apart,
Infamy crowned with cries of prey!!
Baby girl is a frown, I gutted know,
Rather, rip these bestial rapists apart,
Can they elude “The Judgement Day”?

I completely agree with you. Women should be honored and adorned as the beautiful and life giving essence that they are but instead too often they are the victims of rape and atrocity and victims of war as well or mistreated and abused or looked down upon. We must be able to honor the sacred healing goddess energy and to tap into the gift of life as well.

This is the reason I woke up at 2:30 this morning. The world has turned upside down and the madness is spilling out. A strong portrayal by a strong voice.

for good reasons...

respect is key!

on both sides of the ledger.

i have ideas of what i would like to do to these guys who do this...and it ain't pretty.

Thanks Jacob.. Ditto !
A poignant, gutting read. Judgement day is too far off for these pigs and eternity is not long enough. Well done.

Thank you so much.. I couldn't agree more :)
I totally get your anguish and shame at what's going on in our country, right now..
It's very shameful for something like that to happen..

I, too have written a poem, 'A Different Day' unfortunately inspired from the latest event.
I would really like it if you could review it.
Keep up the good work.

Thank you so very much. Read your poem. It is wonderful!
This clearly describe the sensitive embodiments of a woman loving, caring, life giver, and so on but also show this also shows the hostile views some have upon women in our society from the past to modern day today raping, abusing mentally and physically, women of all ages. and yes some get off and some are imprisoned but they all will be judged by a higher power. Very deep and sensitive read here very in your face for this is an reality. as always keep writing fellow writer.
