Conflictions

Conflictions

A Poem by Kajal Gulabani

Whilst sitting under the branches,
A candid chat at its pace!
Pumped heart endearing in pride,
Tickled mind chased in the race.

Aha! Time at the pinnacle,
Autumns bid farewell to rains,
Little acorns sway their wings,
Tiny eyes catching some rays!

Blooded heart drowned in bridal reds,
Echoed beats of the drums!
Aghast! Losing the clutch of mum’s lap,
Tears dripping down the nerves!

Emotions fail to comprehend,
Grandeur in the conflict!
O Soul! Reckon the vastness of the moment,
As countless thoughts simmer within.

Hid beneath the soils if I could,
But to no avail.
Time at its victory yet again!

A stumbled foot at its plight,
A crying thought at an ordeal.
Here I take a perplexed flight,
Not a dream.. But real!

There's some sweet alliteration in the third stanza! This is a nice poem, lots of great imagery and rhyme, very enjoyable to read.
