Elegent Masquerade

Elegent Masquerade

A Poem by Kaito Asuke
"

another poem that just came to me, I saw an image of a masquerade mask and this popped up

"

The twilight sets,

the musicians play;

somber steps with dainty bows

approach and greet.

They smile and jest,

hidden by the veil of a mask;

the faces, I know, behind these masks.

Of the lover,

the traitor,

the hater,

and the poet.

But not you.

You stare with such playful eyes,

inviting and enticing me.

You approach and gracefully bow,

offering your hand;

the waltz begins,

the stage be set

in this elegant masquerade.

Author's Note

Kaito Asuke
imagery was kinda lousy on this one, I just couldn't transcribe images as fluidly as I normally could; but after seeing a masquerade mask this flow of words just came out
