Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras

A Poem by trying_to_write

sitting tucked into each other,
until the fire became nothing but dying embers on an early morning.
we looked up to the sky and the rain began to fall.
the droplets barely hit us, but we knew it was there.
i could feel it on your lips when i kissed you.
i was safe, wrapped in your arms.
and happy.
i felt like i could tell you all my secrets.
so we sat, in silence
letting the warmth of our bodies comfort each other,
while the stars danced above us.

The beauty of silence where nature's voice blends with the heart. Very lovely
